Our Client has recently established a branch office in Calgary Canada and is now looking to recruit a Country Manager. The office will be servicing major accounts they hold with many of the Major International Oil Operating Companies as well as establishing relationships with local Canadian Clients. CLIENT
Our client has firm roots in the UK technical markets. The company was formed in 1970 to offer recruitment services to the UK North Sea Oil & Gas industry. The business has grown significantly since inception and now provides over 3,200 contract professionals to clients engaged in a variety of specialist technical industries.
With the globalisation of key technical markets, the company has undergone significant expansion to support their clients’ operations worldwide. They currently serve their clients and employees in 30 key international locations.
Recently establishing a branch office in Calgary Canada our client is looking to recruit a Country Manager. The office will be servicing major accounts they hold with many of the Major International Oil Operating Companies as well as establishing relationships with local Canadian Clients.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED
They are ideally looking for someone with previous Oil and Gas experience if not then from a professional engineering field and be able to demonstrate previous experience in the following 3 key areas;
Firstly a full understanding and experience of running a “stand alone” Branch Office or Business including knowledge of front and back office functions including: reporting to FD on all P&L accounts, an understanding of office operational functions such as QA, HR, IT requirements, the implementation & management of recruitment personnel (Contract & Perm desks) and the ability of driving up Sales revenue.
Secondly the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Global Oil & Gas Industry as this will be the major Industry associated with the Calgary office. Industry knowledge will be recommended to enable the individual to interact at a senior level with Clients and Contractor personnel whilst having the ability to train members of staff.
Thirdly experience of running remote offices in international locations would be an advantage. It is important that any applicant has a full understanding or the job location, Calgary and that this is residential position & NOT a rotational position. Whilst Canada is a Western Country in with all the associated luxuries it has a very harsh climate.
PACKAGE
The package will be dependent upon the candidate successfully completing a 6 month probation period. During the 6 month probation period the candidate would have corporate accommodation and transportation covered and would remain in the UK tax system.
The package would consist of a basic salary to encompass accommodation, car etc. together with a performance related bonus and there would be open family relocation and support.
