Unsuccessful recruitment headhunters may need to make that number of calls per day, just to be successful on one or two occasions. But working in this way doesn’t make recruiters more effective – in fact, the opposite is true.

Knowing the number of recruitment calls you need to make each day is only useful in so far as it helps you predict the number of successful outcomes.

Consistency is the key to recruitment – not high call numbers. It’s far more important to work in a consistent way – and be able to hit consistent numbers – than it is to blindly try to hit arbitrary call targets.
