20 league titles

Well as the 2012-13 Barclays Premier League draws to an inevitable close, so does our fantasy league.  With 4 weeks remaining, transfers and team captain selections have never as crucial as they are now.

Manchester United secured a 20th top-flight title overnight after Robin van Persie’s memorable hat-trick severely damaged Aston Villa’s hopes of staying up, and no doubt resulted in some much needed points for anyone who had RvP as their captain with 17 points doubling to 34.

Ian Knowlson’s Greenham United scored impressively with an inspired front line attack of Suarez, RvP, and Sturridge hauling in 49 points. John Hunter’s – Fred West Ham are still looking like they are uncatchable, however  it is still “mathematically possible” as they say.

Roevin’s Mark Tully and his team Blue Moon FC top scored in our leagues this week with treble figure points of 100. This was thanks to a back 3 consisting of Joey O’Brien, Guy Demel both from West Ham and Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton collecting an unlikely 22 points between them. Obviously Mark, as a die-hard City fan had no problems with selecting RvP as his captain!

Howard Greenwood’s Hbomb have slipped a number of places this week into mid-table mediocrity.  38 points in total, however they had 10 points sat on the bench and a number 1 or 2 point scoring individuals throughout the starting 11 including Snodgrass, Enrique, Zabaleta and Benteke.  Any other week and that could have produced a decent return for him.  Maybe that is just the luck of the draw.

So can Pari Passu’s Sunmade Olukoga or R3’s Paul Harron put in a final push to oust John Hunter and his now famous Fred West Ham from the champions spot? Only time will tell over the final games.

Page 2 Pacesetters

Maybe not a pacesetter as such, however well worth a mention to highlight that some people may not have chosen their team wisely! Surely First Recruitment Group’s Tom Erotokritakis and his team selection for Greeko FC was an oversight this week. Raheem Sterling, Nikica Jelavic and David Silva all feature yet are struggling to get game time for their respective clubs at present.

Recruitment Internationals very own Terri Etherington and her Terri’s Top Talent is routed to the bottom of the league, however she made up the ground to Fircroft’s Mark Pearce and his Perth Red Devils by 1 point. This now leaves 4 points between them and with not many games left. There will undoubtedly be some poker face selections to see if the wooden spoon is heading on a plane to Australia, or a train down to London.

Taxi for...

Has Suarez eventually bitten off more than he can chew? A lengthy ban should ensue for the Uruguayan who cant help himself offending or harming the opposition. So we are sure he will be the first transfer out of the teams this week........throw away the key we say!

“Tim is a true professional who I would recommend to anyone, either looking for a new role or just open to understanding the market. Tim is a very personable character and is willing to go the extra mile, effortlessly. His approach to work and my interests were second to none. Unlike many rec-2-recs, Tim offered a consultative approach and for this reason alone I would not look outside of Futura in the future!”
