Spurs' and QPR's double bubble catches some managers out

In a gameweek when Spurs and QPR played an extra game each it shouldn't have been that hard to pick your captain. Anyone whose name ends in ane would do the trick and those that did claimed a superb 30 points from the Spurs wonderkind. In fact, all of Top 10 did the same with the notable exception of our Number 1, Oli Ottey who chose Aguero. Following on from last week's choice of the suspended Jack Colback, we're getting seriously worried about our Oli who seems to be chucking his once-unassailable lead away without a care in the world. It's like Manchester United losing to Everton and losing the league a couple of seasons back.. Maybe he's just got a girlfriend and the Fantasy League just doesn't hold the same attraction any more. Whatever it is Oli, we think we should be told!

The top 10 are as follows:

Oli Ottey – Goodman Masson

Sam Bisgrove

Jay Egersdorff

Eddy Dowling

John West – Meridian

Ryan Roberts

Marcus Francis

Matt Newman

Paul McCarthy

Sachin Ruparelia, Camino Partners

Manager of the Week

We welcome a new name to these pages in the shape of QPR fan, Kevin Burt. Kevin didn’t let any soppy favouritism towards his own club get in the way of selecting Harry Kane as his captain to end up one point short of the magic ton.

What a superb week Kevin. We hope to see you challenging for a Top 10 position shortly.

With an unprecedented 105 points in 95th place we find Steve King. Steve’s only duff choice was the normally-dependable Joleon Lescott, a man who scored 18 points in his previous 3 games but he made up for it with the likes of Kane (who else), Austin, Giroud, Hazard, Sanchez, Mane, Sigurdsson, Terry, Fonte and Forster.

What a team!

What a manager!

95th place!

The Best of the Rest

To qualify for the first round of the Fantasy League Cup, you have to be in the top 2,097,152 managers. Unfortunately for this week’s Best of the Rest winner, Mike Toser, he only managed to make it to 2,153,364th place. However, being in the Cup drawer isn’t everything especially when you can win such a prestigious award as this just by scoring 92 points in a single week and it doesn’t matter that you’re 103rd in our league.

What a brilliant week, Mike. Well done.

Taxi for...........

Alan Hutton.......

Alan Hutton is one of those players that nobody really follows in the real world but is a fixture in a number of FL sides because he was once as cheap as chips. Over 10% of managers still have him in their team despite the fact that he’s suspended until March 21 and has picked up less than a point a game in his last 8 outings.

Ship him out fast is what we say. What else could you get for your £4.4m? Try Maya Yoshida or Marc Wilson for starters.

“Natasha was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, she was very attentive and really listened to what I wanted in my next role. Everything I said I wanted, she took on board and found me a role that met my requirements. Interviews were arranged efficiently around my commitments and the interview preparation I received was brilliant. She always followed up with calls when she said she would and is everything you would expect for a good R2R from a reputable company. I would definitely recommend Natasha and Futura to clients and candidates alike. ”
