The All Out Attack Chip

The biggest and the best recruitment fantasy league in the country begins at 1145 on Saturday 12th September. There have been quite a few rule changes and so we've been giving you a run down on them over the last few weeks. The previous editions are available on-line at

So far we’ve looked at wildcards and chips for Triple Captain and Bench Boost. This week we’re going to deal with the...

All Out Attack Chip

AOA means that you can change your formation for one GameWeek only into 2-5-3, i.e. have only two defenders and replace them with your bench midfielders or attackers.

The received wisdom from the fantasy league geeks is that this chip is the least valuable of the lot. Nobody seems to know what they might do with it. It probably isn’t worth wasting a Double GameWeek on it when the returns for Triple Captain and Bench Boost for those weeks seem so much better. For most of us, the likelihood of us having a decent midfielder languishing on the bench who is could gain more points than our third best defender is remote.

We think the only time you would use it is if three of your defenders are facing the likes of City, Chelsea and Arsenal away in the same GameWeek. Please also bear in mind that you can’t play two chips or a chip and a wildcard at once.

One for pondering on, we think. If anyone has any other ideas on this chip or others or any other FL tactics, we’d be please to include them in future newsletters and also give you a credit. Please email them to fantasyfootball@futurarec2rec.com

One team only please

We didn’t think we had to actually say this but there’s always one isn’t there?

You can only enter one team into our league. If we didn’t make this clear before, please take this as a rule change before our season starts.

If you do enter more than one team, we will simply delete the latest team that you have entered. Next season, we’ll delete all the teams you have entered so please play fair

Team names please

The reason we ask for your agency name as part of your team name is because it’s the only way we can ensure that we are paying the prizes out to the correct managers and that those managers are genuinely in the recruitment industry.

However, those of you who aren’t putting in your team names are missing out on some great publicity for your agency and, as recruiters tend to be competitive creatures, isn’t it better to beat you rivals in business AND in the fantasy league?
