Double Gameweeks Announced

The moment we have all been waiting for; double gameweek announcements!

Week 34 is the best week with FIVE EXTRA GAMES including Arsenal, Palace, Everton, Liverpool, City, United, Newcastle, West Ham, WBA and Watford.

However, Gameweek 37 also includes extra games for West Ham, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Norwich, Watford, Sunderland and Everton.

Beware of Gameweek 35 however, because Man United, Everton, Palace, West Ham, Norwich and Watford don’t play in this week.

In our league, the Top 10 are as follows:

Mike Bernard

Alan Furley

Natasha Wilcox, FuturaRec2Rec

Andrew Dyson

Jay Egersdorff

Bartley Hilliam

Paul Cellini

Matt Newman

Neil Kane

Luis Cruz ConSol Partners

Can we please cue the theme tune from Jaws and point out that the bloke who’s won the league for the last two years has emerged in 5th place? The good thing is that Jay Egersdorff’s team isn’t much different from the rest of our teams. The bad news is that he tends to pounce at the end and win the league. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Manager of the Week

Tarik Bell-Ross.......

Tarik has already won this award once this season in addition to the Page 2 Pacesetter award. This week he’s scored 93 points in 40th place. You’d think a bloke who keeps winning MOTW would be a bit higher, no? Tarik certainly takes risks and went for an unusual 4-4-2 with just Kane and Deeney up front. However his midfield and defence chipped in but with just McCarthy as his reserve keeper he’s going to have to go into the transfer market and pick up a replacement for Joe Hart. BTW, some of you might wonder why the bloke with 103 points hasn’t won this award. That’s because he’s slipped thru the net and isn’t in recruitment. We’ve got him now though.

Three mentions in a season? Some kinda record we think Tarik.

Page 2 Pacesetter

Kathy Walker......

With 95 points in 59th place, we find one Kathy Walker. Manchester United fan Kathy has the usual suspects in her team but, in common with a lot of United fans, has none of her favs are included. Surely Kathy could squeeze in Lingard or Rashford maybe? Anyway, at 95 points she’s doing OK and played her BB Chip this week to help her along. You know our thoughts about reserving chips for double gameweeks. Kathy got a measly 6 points for her troubles.

Welcome to the newsletter Kathy.

The Best of the Rest

Nathan Greene.........

With a massive 87 points in 149th place, Nathan has had a great week with only three of his players in Aguero, Lukaku and Dawson scoring the minimum points. Unfortunately, at this stage in the season Chelsea fan Nathan hasn’t got enough differential to get him much further up the table.

A bit like Chelsea then.

Taxi for...........

Joe Hart.......

Pellegrini is not only peeing away the points, his team selections are causing injuries. In Joe’s case, a simple ball to the hapless Demichelis in yesterday’s Derby put him into a blind panic, a half hit back pass and Joe was left with a 50-50 against Martial. He won it but injured his calf in the process. He’s the third most popular keeper at 18% ownership. Out for a month, City gone to pot, £5.7m and Kasper a million pounds cheaper and on more points?

Get him binned!

One to watch..........

Marcus Rashford..........

The FPL’s second most in-form striker after Harry is an 18-year-old kid who’s scored 3 goals and got one assist in 4 games. The way he skinned Demichelis yesterday shows the lad has a lot of talent. £4.5m, 2.4% ownership, a guaranteed place until the end of the season. What’s not to like? if we weren’t City fans, he’d be in our side!

No Brainer!

Team names please

The reason we ask for your agency name as part of your team name is because it’s the only way we can ensure that we are paying the prizes out to the correct managers and that those managers are genuinely in the recruitment industry.

With the latest hacking of our league from semi-professional FL-ers, its even more important. Please help us manage the league better by doing this.

However, those of you who aren’t putting in your team names are missing out on some great publicity for your agency and, as recruiters tend to be competitive creatures, isn’t it better to beat you rivals in business AND in the fantasy league?
