Great week for the Prem, not so for the Fantasy League
It may have been a historic week for the Prem with Leicester winning the league with the Fight Club at The Bridge last night, but in our world we were all a little fed up.
City and Liverpool put weakened teams out such that popular captain Aguero didn’t get any minutes at all and the likes of Sturridge and Sanchez, other popular captain choices, got minimal points.
It was interesting that the top points scorers’ were Mane with a hat-trick, Noble, Ayew and Newcastle’s stand in goalie, Karl Darlow with an amazing 15 points.
Some of our managers chose him and benefitted well, but we have to guess that it was Darlow’s £3.9m fee that attracted them rather than his previous record. Lucky buggers!
In our league, the Top 10 are as follows:

Don’t forget guys. No agency in your team name, no prize. You need to do this next week please or you’ll be too late. That’s the rule.
Manager of the Week
The last time Richie Gill got a mention in these pages was when he finished the 2014 season in 20th place. Could history be repeating itself, because he stands in exactly that spot nearly 2 years later? Richie’s scored 57 points this week with just 10 men playing. The likes of Carroll (c), Payet, Townsend, Monreal and Morgan doing the damage.
What a great score in a tough week, Richie. Well done.

Chris Drake, Platinum Resources......
Wow, Chris’s 65 points is indeed a massive score in a week like this. Chris played his All Out Attack CHIP this week, and we have to say that despite his superb score, his CHIP didn’t really help him that much as he still ended up with a 3 man defence.
Maybe you should have saved that CHIP for next week’s DGW Chris?
The Best of the Rest
Matt Holbrook has a track record of doing pretty poorly and then coming out of the woodwork with an amazing score. This week, he’s come in with 69 points in 130th place, with Martial as his captain and Mane’s hat-trick giving him 38 of those points.
This is brilliant Matt, but can’t you make a more sustained effort next season instead of relying on your yearly 15 minutes of fame?
Huth’s tug on Fellaini’s locks and Fellaini’s resultant elbow will undoubtedly lead to 3 match bans for both players.
Get him binned!
One to watch..........
Southampton’s joint leading scorer has recovered from a down spell and notched up no less than 50 points in his last 6 games, including 7 goals in that time. £7.4m and less than 5% ownership makes him very attractive for those owners who need some vital differential for the run in.
Team names please
The reason we ask for your agency name as part of your team name is because it’s the only way we can ensure that we are paying the prizes out to the correct managers and that those managers are genuinely in the recruitment industry.
With the latest hacking of our league from semi-professional FL-ers, its even more important. Please help us manage the league better by doing this.
However, those of you who aren’t putting in your team names are missing out on some great publicity for your agency and, as recruiters tend to be competitive creatures, isn’t it better to beat you rivals in business AND in the fantasy league?

“I have known John now for nearly 20 years. He approached me in typical John Whalley fashion with an offer I couldnt turn down- "recruit me on the basis that I will only take a share of what I earn- end of". He did not disappoint, turning his hand in the way that John does to being entreprenuerial and opportunistic- opening doors with clients in a proactive and sytematic way. John was a one off and a rare person in so much that unlike most recruiters he was prepared to back his own skill and talent by only getting paid for what he did. No hiding behind big basics and delivering little, John performed and performed well. He still operates in that fashion today, being proactive, opening doors by introducing clients and to candidates and promoting people who match up to his standards. Well done John for keeping consistent and being true to your talents- long may that continue!”Futura candidate
