Jose is right. United should be up there at the top.

Jose keeps saying that his team are the unluckiest in the Prem and should really be up there with the leaders. Most United fans don’t even believe that The Now Not So Special One, does have a point.

If you look at their draws from Stoke onwards and imagine that they were wins instead, United would have an additional 10 points by now and that would put them in 3rd place, on equal points with 2nd placed Arsenal and pushing City out of the Top 4.

The teams they should have beaten are Stoke, Burnley, Arsenal (they usually do), West Ham and Everton but you if you are serious title contenders you can’t just keep winning third rate cup games and beating Swansea. You need to turn 1 point into 3 points in the toughest league in the world and United, despite buying such superb players in the summer, don’t seem to be able to do that.

In our league, the Top 10 are as follows:

Rob Smith

Jay Egersdorff, ESP

Chris McEnaney

Jonathan Sweasey, PDA Search and Selection

Marc Cohen

Sam Lomas

Natasha Wilcox, FuturaRec2Rec

Richard Hogg

Paul McCarthy

Marcus Francis

Manager of the Week

Paul McCarthy.......

With no less than 5 managers on Page 1 breaking the ton this week, there was a lot of competition for MOTW but Paul McCarthy got there with 104 points. Brunt, Eriksen and Sanchez brought him 78 points alone but Bournemouth fan Paul just didn’t expect his team’s superb result against Liverpool and he left 6-point Callum Wilson on the bench. Oh dear.

What a couple of superb results this week Paul.

Kevin Burt......

With 108 points in 81st place we’ve got Kevin Burt. United fan Kevin not only had a superb 21-point, 3-man defence only let down by DDG (who was in our taxi last week), but he also had 33 points from his attack and 46 points from having Sanchez as his captain.

What a week!

The Best of the Rest

Sachin Ruparelia......

At 121st place with 99 points we find Camino Partners’ Sachin Ruparelia. Sachin used to be a mover and shaker in these parts but ever since he got married and had kids, he’s just not cut the mustard and has just been hoping for the odd award from Page 3.

Well done Sachin. You’ve hit the big time again!

Taxi for...........

Sergio Aguero......

Of course, it seems obvious to bin Aguero after his 4-match ban announced yesterday for that horrendous tackle on Luis on Saturday. However, City fans have had misgivings about Kun for some time now especially given his FL price tag. He’s only actually scored 2 goals at home all season and they were against Sunderland and Boro. There really isn’t any justification for keeping him in your side now or even when he returns because there are much better and cheaper striking options which will enable you to buy some superb goal scoring midfielders.

Get him binned!

One to watch..........

Marcos Alonso…….

If we asked you who is Chelsea’s best performing defender since they adopted their new formation, we bet you’d say Azpilicueta. Not so, Marcos Alonso, an FL defender is playing in a left wing back position and has amassed no less than 53 points since week 7, 10 more than Azpilicueta. He’s expensive at £6.2m, but he’s only got 6.2% ownership compared with 15.5% for Azpilicueta. He’s only 7 points behind the top FL defender, Kyle Walker and yet he’s played 56% less minutes than the Spurs defender.

No Brainer!

Team of the Week

The top manager of the whole league this week comes from Norway in the form of Knut Hebaek. Knut scored 107 points this week to take him to an incredible 838 points.

So what’s his team?

Valdes

Gibson

McAuley

Walker

Mane

Eriksen (c)

Hazard

De Bruyne

Zaha

Costa

Benteke

His subs were

Foster, Baines, Anichebe, Alonso

Team names please

The reason we ask for your agency name as part of your team name is because it’s the only way we can ensure that we are paying the prizes out to the correct managers and that those managers are genuinely in the recruitment industry.

With the latest hacking of our league from semi-professional FL-ers, its even more important. Please help us manage the league better by doing this.

However, those of you who aren’t putting in your team names are missing out on some great publicity for your agency and, as recruiters tend to be competitive creatures, isn’t it better to beat you rivals in business AND in the fantasy league?

“Megan was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Megan listened to exactly what I was looking for and tailored her search accordingly. Megan and the guys at Futura kept in contact throughout the entire process which really put my mind at ease. I would not hesitate in recommending them!”
