Don’t forget the midweek games

Just to remind everyone that we have a new gameweek starting tomorrow for the midweek games.

The Observer asked various fanzine editors from each Premiership club who would occupy the top 4 places and who would be relegated. The results are below, except the relegation bit because almost everyone agreed it would be Sunderland, Boro and Hull.

Manager of the Week

Seamus Tunney.......

Seamus was actually a regular feature in our Top 10 earlier in the season but seems to have dropped a little now because his mind has been on all the placements he’s been making. However, 71 points when the average is just 40 is no mean achievement. His defence of Bournemouth and West Brom players boosted by his midfield including Son (c) and Zaha have certainly helped Seamus break out of Page 2.

What a superb week Seamus. Very well done.

Simon Belcher......

Come on Simon. Who Ate All Depays? as a team name. Can’t you do better than that old hat? Anyway, 69 points in 65th place is still respectable if the team name isn’t. ManU fan Simon just knew that Saturday’s game was going to be a bore draw and got 8 points from Valencia out of it. Coutinho’s 13 didn’t do any harm either and neither did selecting Vardy as his captain.

Welcome to the newsletter again, Simon

The Best of the Rest

Isaak Badru.....

With a fantastic 63 points in 142nd place we find Liverpool fan, Isaak Badru. Isaak actually won this award around this time last season so welcome back Isaak. Like the rest of us, Isaak’s attack let him down but his defence and midfield of Countinho, Mane, Sane and Alli more than made up for it.

See you same time next season Isaak!

Taxi for...........

Petr Cech…….

Out until at least April 10, 4 clean sheets in 21 games, Arsenal going nowhere, £5.4m and a 12% ownership. There are better places for your hard-earned cash so ….

Get him binned!

One to watch..........

Wilfred Ndidi………

Leicester’s January signing from Genk isn’t a bad goalscoring midfielder at all with Leicester paying £17m for a lad with no Premiership experience who’d just passed his 20th birthday in December. He won the Goal of the Season award in Belgium for a long-range effort that was travelling at 111 km/hr. With a goal and two assists in the last 3 games, 0.2% ownership and a price tag of just £4.9m it really is a ……….

No Brainer!

Team of the Week

We’re going to look at the league’s most valuable team this week which is managed by USA based ManU fan, Kristen McAdams and is worth an incredible £116m.

So, what’s his team?

Pickford

Walker

Barragan

Jones

Azpilicueta

Sigurdsson

Lallana

Mane

Eriksen

Ibra

Negredo

His subs were

Forster, Origi, Gibson, Walcott

You know what they say Kristen? No pockets in a shroud!

Team names please

The reason we ask for your agency name as part of your team name is because it’s the only way we can ensure that we are paying the prizes out to the correct managers and that those managers are genuinely in the recruitment industry.

With the latest hacking of our league from semi-professional FL-ers, its even more important. Please help us manage the league better by doing this.

However, those of you who aren’t putting in your team names are missing out on some great publicity for your agency and, as recruiters tend to be competitive creatures, isn’t it better to beat you rivals in business AND in the fantasy league?

“I would like to thank Tim Goodwin for doing an excellent job. Initially speaking to me when I wasn’t 100% committed to moving, he was patient and simply listened to what I wanted from my next role. Two interviews later and I'm placed. Tim proves that there is no need to overcomplicate the process. ”
